Catalpa Table
Sofa table made from walnut and two catalpa slabs. Mortise and tenons made prominent by catalpa tusks are used to hold the joints together, as this traditional joinery method requires no glue or screws. The contrast from the white catalpa slab to the walnut legs sets a design trend that carries through to the joinery and the inlaid walnut bowtie stabilizing a crack in the top
